The LEGO Group has teased something brewing for the upcoming Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix due to take place on May 4, 2025.

The company’s Instagram account posted a reel in which it announced that “Something BIG is coming” to Miami with the video featuring a shot above the palm trees with the camera slowly descending to reveal ten two-by-four LEGO bricks which are humming and revving in place before setting off down a beautiful road heading into the city itself.

Speculation has abounded on discussion boards with some fans hazarding a guess that the LEGO Group may be warming fans to the possibility of a new LEGO Formula 1 collection, and it may tie into the wider hype built for the upcoming F1 Collection Race Cars (71049) which will go on sale on May 1, 2025, featuring 29 pieces for each of the 12 models, representing major car brands from the Formula 1 ecosystem.

LEGO has already been well-represented in Formula 1 through its Technic series, which has more than 27 sets currently available on sale through the company’s online store. Among the available models are the Ferrari SF-24 F1 Race Car (77251), McLaren F1 Team MCL38 Race Car (77242), Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car (42206), and many others.

LEGO is even running a McLaren Formula 1 Team Bundle: Save 10% on 2 sets right now, so there is further incentive to look in on the latest F1 x LEGO news and keep a close eye as to what may be coming next.

LEGO’s involvement with the Formula 1 ecosystem has been well-documented. Previously, the company worked on a 288,000-brick life-zied LEGO McLaren Formula 1 car, which served for the company’s engineering prowess and the limitless possibilities that the LEGO bricks give fans when it comes to creativity.

With Formula 1 becoming an ever-more signifcant event, LEGO’s potential new activation is timed perfectly. In 2022, the Miami Grand Prix drew as many as 240,000 people and attendance has been rising steadily.
