- Limited BrickLink sets from Series 1 & 2 hit LEGO.com on May 20
- Fan-designed builds include Mountain Fortress, Mushroom House, and more
- Stock is extremely limited, once they’re gone, they’re gone
The BrickLink Designer Program arguably creates some of the most inspired builds in the LEGO-verse, and although the LEGO Group is loath to brand them under the company’s signature logo, and stocks are indeed limited, instilling a sense of FOMO in the easily impressionable brick fan, there is a new opportunity for those of you who have hesitated earlier to snag a few designs from Season 1 & Season 2.
With the Season 8 on the cusp of closing the public backing window, and Season 5 preparing to ship thousand-brick-strong sets, LEGO aficionados and those with a soft spot of massive builds will have the chance to pick some leftover stock from Season 1 & 2 that will retail on the LEGO.com website, while stocks last. The sets to buy from Season 1 include:
- Mountain Fortress – 3,995 pieces – $379.99
- Parisian Street – 3,532 pieces – $319.99
- Old Train Engine Shed – 2,331 pieces – $229.99
- Snack Shack – 535 pieces – $49.99
- General Store – 1,906 pieces – $159.99
Season 2 will also bring a handful of awesome sets, including:
- Mushroom House – 964 pieces – $89.99
- The Ocean House – 2,207 pieces – $199.99
- Logging Railway – 2,731 pieces – $209.99
- Ominous Isle – 2,809 pieces – $239.99
- Brick Cross Train Station – 3,050 pieces – $279.99
LEGO.com will launch the leftover sets on May 20 at 8 PT, so set the clocks as it’s not clear how many of these sets are actually around to buy.
“Sometimes we end up with a small number of additional BDP sets at the end of our production process—that’s the case with BDP Series 1 and 2. Inventory is very limited, so don’t wait if you want to get your hands on one of these rare fan-designed sets,” a press release by the LEGO Group explained, with fans now having the opportunity to grab some absolutely stunning if pricey creations.
