  • Nine new Ninjago sets are landing in Summer 2025, bringing dragons, mechs, ships, and more with revamped designs and killer play features.
  • Exclusive posters, new minifigures, and premium builds make this lineup one of the most exciting Ninjago waves yet.
  • From the epic Fire Knight Mech to the transforming vehicles and racing bikes, there’s a standout set for every LEGO fan, collector or player.

Right at the start of summer 2025, LEGO will expand the Ninjago line with amazing new sets. We will also get a fresh redesign in packaging and two unique sets never seen before in this series.

We are discussing the The Guardian Dragon (71847) and The Fire Knight Mech (71846). They both will feature the new box design which looks so epic and clean under the Ninjago Legends title. They almost look like a set from the adult series, and we are sure that everyone will want to snatch at least one of them, because of their uniqueness. To top it all off they will even have an exclusive poster inside, elevating the premium feeling even more.

We cannot start with anything else except with the crown gems of the upcoming Ninjago new sets. Taking a close look at the The Fire Knight Mech (71846) set it doesn’t take long for a LEGO fan to say, “Okay well that looks awesome”. We have seen many sets before from the line-up that would go perfectly as just a display piece but here, we are getting a full-on diorama.

At the bottom of the stand, there will be an ancient sea monster emerging from below Kai will try to battle it and save the fisherman near the creature. Speaking for the minifigures they will be with brand-new design as well.

New parts can be seen in the beautiful fabric cape, a printed piece on the weapon and the waving head attachment. Unfortunately, the other details will be from stickers.

However, if you prefer to play with the sets or not display it on the base you can do it as The Fire Knight Mech (71846) is fully articulated with flexible ball joints all over the body providing many ways to pose it.

The set will feature 996 parts and cost $119,99 with pre-orders open form now, which is an amazing value considering what are we getting from it. And let’s not forget about the exclusive poster inside which is not yet revealed. The Fire Knight Mech (71846) will be released on June 1, 2025.

The Guardian Dragon (71847)

Next, let’s take a look at our personal favorite The Guardian Dragon (71847). The set looks menacing, and LEGO once again has proven to us that the best dragons that we can get are from the Ninjago series. This time the dragon will stand over with wings spread open upon a small rock formation and a temple.

Master Wu will be the minifigure alongside the set as he will be with a new design featuring a cool new shoulder piece shaped like a dragon. New pieces can be seen at the head, fabric wings and parts recolored as well.

The set will cost $149,99 and have 1650 pieces in the box as the release date is June 1, 2025, and you can pre-order it from now. Compared to The Fire Knight Mech (71846) we think that if you choose to display the dragon alone and not on the stand it would be a bit harder but still possible as the legs and base on which it can stand are a lot smaller. But it will still include an exclusive poster inside.

We will make a close-up hands-on review of both sets so follow us along for all the details.

The Temple Bounty (71848)

Counting one with our quick review there is the The Temple Bounty (71848) set. The model is a pure fact that LEGO really ramped up the playability and will only surprise us even more with better new sets.

The ship will cost $199,99 and feature 2387 parts which is an amazing deal which is worth getting. The release date just like every other set except The Guardian Dragon (71847) and The Fire Knight Mech (71846) will be August 1, 2025, and not June 1, 2025

There will be 6 minifigures included which are Zane, Cole, Wyldfyre, Nya, Rogue, and the evil Zarkt. As we mentioned the playability will be top-notch as the ship can be opened into 6 different sections revealing the interior inside.

Next up we have yet another amazing mech from the Ninjago series. This time around the set will be a two-in-one because you will be able to transform it into both a jet and a battle mech. This means that there will be clever part usage and building techniques in order to achieve that.

You will be able to emerge into many scenarios because there will be, and a spectral dragon included with a rider alongside two other warriors. Lloyd will get help in the battle from Sora and her flying motorbike with stud shooters.

You can purchase Lloyds Jet Mech (71845) for $109,99 and will come around with 1112 pieces inside.

Ninja Combat Vehicle (71844)

Following the transforming playability here is an even more interesting one. Here Ninja Combat Vehicle (71844)will have the feature to be split into three different vehicles. This reminds us of the Ultra Stealth Raider (70595) we got before.

The two motorbikes will be with mirrored shapes, and they can be clipped to a specially design place to the jet. There will be 551 pieces in the box and the set will cost $99,99 which is an expensive price for what is included compared to sets like Lloyds Jet Mech (71845) and The Temple Bounty (71848)

There will be 6 minifigures including Kai, Wyldfyre, Cole, Nokt, Spectral Dragonian Scout and Frak who will be brand-new figures for the whole series. The tyres of the motorbikes are rare as well.
