The LEGO Icons Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (10360) is readying for its take-off on May 18, 2025 with the set officially listed on the LEGO.com website.

This is a massive release from the LEGO Group and a much anticipated one that previously leaked on discussion boards, as is the custom with these huge upcoming sets. Taking a close look at the set, we are sure that it will have the same success or even surpass the LEGO Concorde (10318), and it’s the second massive Icons set to have been confirmed since the reveal of Sherlock Holmes: Book Nook (10351).

But enough speculation, because we have cold facts. First off, this set includes 2,417 pieces and it will retail for $229.99. The set features two aircraft – one Boeing 747 which has been specialized with a shuttle mounting system to support a NASA Space Shuttle Enterprise.

To add further value, there are two plaques which will add to the display value and help anyone curious about this to quickly figure it out. The set draws inspiration from the iconic collaboration between NASA and Boeing that has helped shape space travel, never mind their most recent slew of problems.

To Play or Display – This Is the Question

The Boeing 747 comes with a slick fuselage design, as well as a deployable 18-wheel landing gear, along with the aforementioned shuttle mounting system. It is a pretty decent build, all things considered, but some fans have rightly suggested that the turbine engines look a little off, perhaps they should be bulkier, but actually they look about right to be perfectly honest.

The fuselage is authentic, and there is a nice contrast in the few colors used by LEGO to finish this one off. Then, you have the NASA Space Shuttle Enterprise which is mission-ready and has an attachable tail cone, detachable engines and stowable landing gear tucked inside its cargo bay.

Of course, the size of this set would suggest that it is made for display rather than play, but being a father, I am going to learn as much as I can about how all of this works in practicality and use this model to inspire my kids to pursue sciences. Sorry, I went off a tangent here. Other play features are the openable hangar of the NASA Space Shuttle Enterprise, spinning the back trusters and the removeable tail of the Boeing.

The set is also marked by clever and engaging building processes such as the Studs Not on Top technique and the use LEGO technic pieces.

This gravity-defying set is definitely something that aerospace enthusiasts will certainly appreciate! I hope you guys are as excited about this one – please to remember to like and subscribe and until next time!
